iNeed a new Macbook

Here while back, I needed a new power supply for my iBook. My old one's plastic had cracked and the wires were showing. I bought one from Powerbook Medic for a reasonable price and am pretty happy with it.

I say "pretty happy" because I hadn't had it too long and my stinkin' screen went out on my iBook.

(Luckily, I had purchased an external hard drive and had copied all of my music, photos and recipes on it about a week before. Whew.)

Now, the folks at Powerbook Medic are giving away a pre-owned/gently used/formerly loved Macbook.

Cool Contest!

The folks at True North are holding a really cool contest. They are looking for inspiring stories in America. The winner's story will be turned into a :60 commercial and aired during the Oscars! How neat is that? They are also giving the winner $25,000 to help in the pursuit of their passion. That's not too shabby either.

There isn't much that gets me to leap out of bed in the morning, but I do try to help out when I can. I was on the Board of Directors for Big Brothers/Big Sisters for four years.
