Me: (I don't even know what I said.)
The Boy: I don't need your sass.
He's a character and a whopping six feet tall!
He is currently going through old entries of this blog saying, "I don't remember saying that." and chuckling.
I love him.
In sad news, our sweet boy, Scotch, has been diagnosed with osteosarcoma. The x-rays were horrible. The poor boy has been limping around on a broken femur head. The cancerous bone growth looks so bad. He is taking pain pills right now, but the doctor said we shouldn't let it go too far since toward the end it isn't pretty. We have an appointment next Tuesday. We are spoiling him rotten until then. Tears are being shed almost hourly, but we can tell he is in a lot of pain. He is still running around and playing from time to time, but he's not his normal goof-ball as much as he used to be.
We will miss you, sweet boy.

Tomorrow is the day!
Tomorrow is the big day. Gall Bladder and I will be parting ways.
I've tried to make GB's last days fun. We've thrown a Frisbee, thrown a football (perfect spiral if I do say so myself), bought our favorite chocolate/banana swirl ice cream, went for a photography walk in the park, read some good books, and ate a bunch of bacon.
I'm not nervous, but am totally ready for this to happen. I trust the doctors and nurses and am confidant they will do their best.
I'll leave you with some photos to enjoy...
Sloppy Joes! (I tucked my shirt in for this photo.)

Winter won't leave
Sometimes, winter is nice.
Where there is snow you can go out and play in until Scotch wears out!

Where twenty year old young men love to pelt anyone in sight with snowballs!

Where eleven year old boys play until they are soaking wet!

Then? This happens...

Winter thumbs its nose at you.

And branches start plummeting out of trees.

Not nice, winter. Not nice.

Cake and then a dog
I said turn it to two. He went to 11.

It turned out well though.

Everything had to be edible. We used fruit roll ups, Tootsie rolls and Little Debbie Cakes.

On a totally different note...
The snow in the backyard is a little deep. During the summer, he only comes up a little over half way up the fence.

Not a fan.
Everyone is entitled to his or her own opinion.
That being said...
I was watching Survivor a couple of weeks back and had paused it to go do whatever, when I heard Scotch growling at something.
Scotch rarely growls.
When I went back into the living room to see what the fuss was, I had to grab my camera to capture the moment.
(Turn your volume up to get the full experience.)
I totally agree.
