Let me rephrase that...

It is nice being Mrs. Commander. It isn't nice being in the circumstances brought about by being married to LTC Commander.

Capisce?

Now for some News to Make You Gasp!

The oldest boy now does dishes when he is over. I was being a kind-hearted soul and unloading the dishwasher for him when, much to my dismay, I unloaded this...

I know. Can you believe it? One of my Henckels knives was so carelessly thrown into the silverware tray of the dishwasher like some common utensil. Tsk, tsk, child. This and its brothers and sisters

must be delicately hand washed with lavendar washing soap and dried with a soft, lint-free towel.

Duh.

As A Matter of Fact, It's Not That Nice

As many of you know, the Army has taken my husband away for a while. And while he is getting paid more at this job than he does at his civilian job, we aren't really seeing much of it. We are having to support two households - utilities, food, gas, etc. - and we are paying off some bills we have. And frankly, it is hard being apart from each other. It is *very* hard on me. I am pretty much a single parent right now. I don't have an adult to hold meaningful conversations with in the evening. I have to do *all* of the household chores myself. I am in charge of getting six acres of lawn mowed. Ordering firewood. Hauling trash. There isn't anyone at home to call if I have car trouble. There isn't anyone to watch the boy if I have something come up in the evening or if I have to go into work early or stay late.

So when I mention that I am going to get Merry Maids to come and give me an estimate on cleaning the house and you pop off with, "Must be nice to be Mrs. Commander." Guess what? No. It isn't that nice.

How Boring Am I?

HASH(0x8ca155c)
You are a Carnation:

You are friendly, energetic, cheerful, and bubbly.

You love being around people. Outgoing and

talkative, you rarely meet a stranger. Others

feel at ease around you because of your

playful nature.

Symbolism: In Victorian times carnations were given

to show fascination with another. They also

symbolize friendship and whimsicalness.

Which Flower are You?

Meme

Sheri started it!

Junque Drawer Jumble

1 - Instruction manual for a humidifier.
2 - Winnie the Pooh cell phone cover - NWT
3 - Customizer Scroll Kit (for pimping my ride)
4 - Pack of Sugar Baby Watermelon Seeds
5 - One of those little picture viewer keychain thingies from Six Flags. Remember those? They would take your picture and shrink it down to next to nothing and put it in a little viewer that you had to hold up to your eye and aim it toward a light so you could see. This thing is probably 13 years old! I sure was a lot thinner then.

If you have a junque drawer in your house, please go to it now. Open it and remove the first 5 items. Whatcha got?

Ammie?
Goob?
Nonnie?
Erin?
Warcrygirl?
Miss Zoot?
PoPo?
Ellen?

*I know I spelled junk "junque". Mine is a higher class of junk. Phfft.

I knew it was going to say that.

I had a dream once that me and some other female (I didn't know her) walked into a friend's kitchen. The friend was eating all different kinds of food. It was a very odd dream. I told the friend about it and laughed about how it probably meant she was pregnant and was going to have a girl. She got a weird look on her face, looked over at her husband, looked back at me and said, "I am pregnant. We haven't told anyone yet." And guess what? They had a girl. (Insert Twilight Zone music here.)

take the psi-q psychic test yourself

Telepathy/Empathy

The Psi Q test profiles a broad range of telepathic and empathic ability. Telepathy can be regarded as the ability to pick up thoughts, while empathy is the ability to pick up emotions through other than normal channels.

Clairvoyance/Remote Viewing

Clairvoyance is the ability to see things beyond the range of the power of vision. Often associated withother abilities, the clairvoyant is frequently capable of "remote viewing", the ability to see often distant locations in some detail in the mind's eye.

Psychokinesis

While psychokinesis or telekinesis is probably the rarest psychic ability in its purest form (the ability to move solid objects by applying intention alone), the Psi Q profile measures the degree to which you appear to be able to manifest your will in the physical world. You may find yourself lucky at games of chance for example, or find that things appear to be set up just the way you would want them to be.

Precognition

People with this ability, or precogs are traditionally called seers and have the ability to foresee the future. Some may find their abilities enhanced by tools such as tarot cards or crystal balls (scrying) but many simply find that knowledge of what is to come simply presents itself to them in often surprising ways!

Channeling

Channellers, or mediums, have the ability to communicate with, or act as conduits for the communication of, non-human intelligences or the spirits of the departed. The Psi Q profile takes a broad assessment of this communication and includes in its assessment forms of communication that may be non-verbal.

Happy Valentine's Day Honey!

Look at your new TV. Isn't it great? And look how happy the people are that you have such a loving wife who would buy you something this wonderful. Happy Happy!

Look at Paul Sr. He's jealous 'cause he didn't get a fancy-schmancy TV like you did. Can't Jr. do anything right? Jealous Jealous.

Look at the Weeping Buddha. He's sad. He's weeping for all of the other husbands out there who don't have wives who love them as much as I love you. Weep Weep.

Later

Him - What did you get.
Me - A 42' Plasma
Him - (noise)
Me - What are you doing?
Him - Picking myself up off the floor.
Me - But I bought it for you, Honey.

Meet my little frin'

This is MonkeyGirl. She's new. She's currently on an all liquid diet, but she was eyeballing my burger pretty hard last night. You will probably be seeing more of her from time to time. (No, she's not mine. But she's like family.)

Maybe it will rain.

My child wore high water pants to school today.

A friend gave him some hand-me-over pants that no longer fit her son. He grabbed them out of the closet this morning and put them on. I told him they were too short.

"How can you tell?"

"I can see."

"But I like them! They're comfortable!"

"Fine."

So yes, yes indeed, he is waiting for a flood.

Stuff and Such

Here's photos of my "strep throat craft days".

The Pillow. It is so soft and comfy. Mom may not get it after all.

The scarves (not scarfs as previously reported).

And a quick note to the dog.
I know you are a dog and dogs bury bones and other foodstuffs. But it doesn't work that well with water.

Really, it doesn't.

P.S. Go Penguin Go!
