The fools are out.

School's out! So now I will commence my boast post.

Shorty is graduating tomorrow night! I became his stepmonster when he was four years old and now he is a semi-adult.

On Saturday, he has his Eagle Scout Court of Honor. I was helping him with his script last night and when we got to the part where he gives his mom and dad the Eagle Parent pin, he said, "We have to put you in there." Yea me! But then we couldn't think of what to say about me. Well, I could think of lots of amusing things to say about me, but since he is a grumpy old man, he didn't appreciate them.

The Boy got his final report card and reading test results yesterday. The good news is he gets to go on to third grade next year. The great news is that he is reading at a fifth grade level. Woo!

I turned in my letter of resignation at work. Less than two weeks to go. They are having a big drinking party...oh who am I kidding? DRINKING party to send me off. I'm going to bawl like a baby. I'll miss you all. Some more than others. : )

  1. There remains --- excuse me while I count---several days until the children in my home are released unto the world to do good deeds and not bother their mother for the summer. I was looking forward to summer, now, maybe, not so much...

  2. I am sorry we didn't have an opportunity to get together for our birthdays one last time. I will miss you but will keep up with the blog.

Enjoy the new house, new town, etc. but don't forget those who knew you when.

Just FYI, the verification on this post is vwusck which looks to me like, "VW, you suck." Just thought you would find that humorous.
