Pea-own-ees

So, how do you pronounce them?

Pea-uh-nees
Pennies
Pea-own-ees

However you do, I got some. They came with the house. I've never been up close to them before. They smell wonderful.

We also have this unknown.

These heathens are confined on the deck until we get a fence. (Soon. Oh please, oh please, oh please.)

You may have me now, Woman, but soon I'll be free.

(I say pea-own-ees. The Commander says pea-uh-nees. He also says Puh-jam-uhs. I say Puh-jaw-muhs. Lie-lack? Lie-lock? These northerners. Sheesh.)

  3. I've had to think long & hard about this ---
I think I say "pea-uh-nees" and "puh-jam-uhs" Could be a midwest thing, which makes it 100% correct. Just like the SUPER Long "O" sound in Minnesoooota.

Those dogs do not look happy on the deck but I'm sure your look is much happier now that they aren't in the house. Hang in there! kel in okc

    I call them pretty.

That's what I call them all. They have individual names??. Wow!

That's why my mom and MIL look at me funny when I get glassy eyed as they start talking flowers.

Your flowers are really pretty, take a good wiff for me. If you take it maybe I won't sneeze.

  6. It's PEE-uh-nees here, and do not cut some of them and bring them in for a dinner party without putting them upside down in the sink first to drown the ants that live in the flowers.

  7. Here's the true test of location (and age). Do you call it a sofa, a couch, or a davenport?
