Share a few words of wisdom: “It isn’t so easy to walk alone” (From “A Moment With Me”)

Addendim Addendumb More

More Signs You're an Okie
from MamaKBear

You've ever had to switch from "heat" to "A/C" in the same day.

You know that the true value of a parking space is not determined by the distance to the door, but by the availability of shade.

Stores don't have bags, they have sacks.*

You've seen people wear bib overalls at funerals.

You know people who think a Ford F350 4x4 Dually is a status symbol.

You measure distance in minutes. ("I'm about 5 minutes away.")

You refer to the capital of Oklahoma as "The City".

You go to the lake because you think it's like going to the ocean.

You listen to the weather forecast before picking out an outfit.

You know cowpies are not made of beef.

Someone you know has used a football schedule to plan their wedding date.

Your "place at the lake" has wheels under it.

You aren't surprised to find movie rental, ammunition, and bait all in the same store.

*True Story - Some years back, I was at Disneyland with my cousin and her kids. Her son didn't finish his meal so I went back up to the food stand to get a sack...

Me - Can I get a sack?
Worker Person - Heh?
Me - (Louder) Can I get a sack?
WP - A what?
Me - A sack.
WP - A hamburger?
Me - No. A sack.
WP - ????
Me - A bag?
WP - (Cue lightbulb) Ooohhh! Here you go.

Little kid, confusing words.

A loaf of bread, a low tire, a long story short...

Last night as I was trying to back the car into the garage (after making a run to the grocery for some artisan bread at 9pm cause I had a craving (and who wouldn't?)

PUGLIESE
An authentic bread from Puglia, Italy. A rustic country style loaf with a creamy, chewy interior and a crackly crust. This bread goes with anything.

and I needed to get the low tire closer to the air compressor without hitting any of the four motorcycles thankyouverymuch) I had to pull back out, reposition, and try again. The following conversation ensued...

Me: Aarghh! I'm a terrible backer-upper.
Bright Boy: Yeah.
Me: What?! Don't agree with me! You're supposed to say "You can do it Mom! Don't sell yourself short! You can back this car in!"
BB: I didn't mean it as "yeah", I meant it as "YEAH! You can do it! Make yourself long! Back the car in!"
Me: (Make myself long? WTF? Ooooooh Don't sell yourself short. Make yourself long. I get it.) That's more like it!

But I can parallel park like nobody's business!

Ya think?

You Should Get a MFA (Masters of Fine Arts)

You're a blooming artistic talent, even if you aren't quite convinced.
You'd make an incredible artist, photographer, or film maker.

Commander should have read this before he left.

You Know You're from El Paso When...

You know that the only two seasons are summer and Christmas.

You know it's the first day of Spring because the wind gusts hit 50 mph.

You know that it only snows if it was at least 75 the day before.

You cringe whenever you see a CHIH MEX license plate.

You can get sunburned and wind burned in the same hour.

You can give a stranger exact directions to the Electric-Q disco in Juarez.

You don't go near the Rio Grande. Ever.

You think that anyone who lives on the West side drives a BMW and all the people on the East side are gangsters.

The only national monuments you have been to are White Sands and the Chamizal.

You have a least four T-shirts that have "In loving memory" on the back.

You know the difference between "ya'll" and "all ya'll".

You know where the "real" first Thanksgiving took place.

You thinkg Western Playland is the place to be in the summer.

You have tried to fry an egg on the sidewalk in July.

You invest a great deal of money in hair spray in the spring.

The only thing you stocked up on for Y2K were tortillas.

You know what all those letters on the mountain stand for.

You can see three different states and two countries from your backyard.

The first place you go when you come back in town is Chico's Tacos.

When you are lost in Juarez at night, you can always find your way back by looking for the star on the mountain.

Seeing the Asarco tower gives you that warm and fuzzy home feeling.

You have talked about leaving for about ten years, but you are still here.

You actually get these jokes and pass them on to other friends from El Paso.

I'm Proud to be an Okie! (Not from Muskogee)

You Know You're from Oklahoma When...

You say ya'll ... many times a day.

Bedlam is a BIG deal.

You can tell when it's tornado weather.

When you drive through a neighborhood anyone out walking will smile and wave at you.

You've worn flip flops in the winter

You have stopped to let a family of deer cross the road.

You thought the twister ride at Universal Studios wasn't windy enough.

You know who your neighbors are, how many children they have, and when one of them gets married or graduates.

There are at least 2 to 3 Sonics, McDonalds, and Little Ceasars in your town

You've been off roading - many times

You or someone you know was born, raised and still lives in the same town.

You know that Miami, Oklahoma and Miami, Florida are pronounced two different ways.

You plan events around football games.

You are a Cowboy or Sooners fan.

You learned how to do country and western dances at school.

A tornado warning siren is your signal to go out in the yard and look for a funnel.

You can properly pronounce Eufaula, Gotebo, Okemah and Chickasha.

You can remember the name of the last state legislator to introduce a bill involving castration, and he didn't mean farm animals.

You know exactly what calf fries are, and eat them anyway.

You think that people who complain about the wind in other states are sissies.

It doesn't bother you to use an airport named for a man who died in an airplane crash.

You have owned at least one belt buckle bigger than your fist.

A bad traffic jam involves two cars staring each other down at a four-way stop, each determined to be the most polite and let the other go first.

It doesn't seem odd to see the term "chicken fried chicken" on a menu.

You save all your life for your dream vacation, and use it to go to the OU/Texas game.

It doesn't seem peculiar if your sweetie says "I'm going in to town for something" even though you live in town.

You don't turn on the news until 20 minutes past the hour, because that's the only thing you care about anyway.

Your quarterback is hurt and it is the top story on the six o'clock news.

You keep track of the grain and hog futures on the radio.

You don't buy all your vegetables at the grocery store.

You go to the State Fair for your only vacation.

You get up at 5:30 A.M. and go to the coffee shop, where the waitress never asks what you would like. She already knows.

You are on a first name basis with the county sheriff.

You know what the "Sea of Red and White" is.

You think that using the elevator involves a wheat truck.

You can drive 80 mph on a two-lane dirt road with one hand, but driving 45 mph on a four-lane expressway in a city scares you to death.

You use manure on your grass instead of Weed and Feed.

Your nearest neighbor is in the next zip code.

You wear cowboy boots to church.

You know that everything goes better with Ranch.

You learned how to shoot a gun before you learned how to multiply.

"You wanna Coke?" "Yeah." "What kind?" "Dr. Pepper."

You know what "Orange Power" and "Crimson & Cream" means.

You actually get these jokes and pass them on to other friends from Oklahoma.

So what's the other 5%?

I am 47% White Trash.
Not Too White Trashy
The white trash in my blood will not keep me from becoming a doctor or a lawyer, but it will keep me from a good haircut and any sort of fashion sense.

I am 48% Idiot.
Ain't Too Bright
I ain't too bright. But all those other idiots annoy the hell out of me. I may not be the brightest bulb in the bunch, but at least I know my limits.

I Need A Raise!

I've noticed in my present job, there is a tiny quirk.
There's no respect at all and it's not considered work.

Well, I am here to show you another point of view,
and give you an idea of what I really do!

Here's my job description and to better understand,
it's written in the language of the Army Man.

I'm the IG, complaints come to me.
I am the Medic, I bandage skinned knees.

I'm the Legal Office and the court martial, too.
I decide the punishment, how much and on who.

I'm Health & Welfare, inspecting for junk,
and I'm the 1SG checking the bunk.

I'm also Supply, in charge of food and clothes,
house wares, toys, and Heaven only knows.

I'm the MP, who secures the door,
I'm also the PVT who GI's the floor.

I'm the Mess SGT who cooks all the meals.
I'm TMP in charge of the wheels.

I'm MWR planning all the fun
and I am the Bugler, announcing the "day is done".

I'm the KP, who does all the dishes,
I am the DA who hears all your wishes.

I'm the CQ and the Fireguard, too,
there isn't that much that I don't do.

I'm the instructor too, you see,
because what is learned is taught by me.

I'm the Squad Leader, who knows his troops well,
sometimes the Drill SGT who really can yell.

I'm the S4, S1, 2 and 3,
just about everything must come through me!

Appropriations, taskings, commitments too,
I'm responsible for all we do.

I never go to battle, and AR of some sort,
but you can count on me to bravely guard the fort.

I'm ALWAYS on duty, I never take leave,
no holidays off, it's hard to believe!

I can never ETS, I signed for life,
my primary MOS is Mother, my secondary is Army Wife.

For all my devotion to duty, my LES says "NO PAY DUE"
because I'm not paid in money, but in the words of 'I LOVE YOU'.

I AM AN ARMY OF ONE - A PROUD ARMY WIFE!

Yo. Whassup?

I went to the state capitol today and took some photos for work. Tell me, is there a reason why they put the Senators' offices on three different floors? After I quit sweating glistening sweating, I sat on the floor outside of the supreme court (six arrests, no convictions!) and ate my cold cut sandwich and chips. Then I stood up and ate my fruit cup.

Notice I brought both of my chins with me today. And my Farrah Fawcett wings. Can someone please tell me when my hair obviously is getting way too long?! Luckily my beautician called me while I was down there and I made an appointment.

I hobbed with the nobbs in the senate gallery and much fun was had by all.

The end.

Now I must eat and watch The Amazing Race. In that order.

Tuesday, April 04, 2006

You never see me busy, but you always see me tired.

Mom and Dad were watching TV when Mom said, "I'm tired, and it's getting late. I think I'll go to bed."

She went to the kitchen to make sandwiches for the next day's lunches.

Rinsed out the popcorn bowls, took meat out of the freezer for supper the following evening, checked the cereal box levels, filled the sugar container, put spoons and bowls on the table and started the coffee pot for brewing the next morning.

She then put some wet clothes in the dryer, put a load of clothes into the washer, ironed a shirt and secured a loose button.

She picked up the game pieces left on the table, put the phone back on the charger and put the telephone book into the drawer.

She watered the plants, emptied a wastebasket and hung up a towel to dry.

She yawned and stretched and headed for the bedroom. She stopped by the desk and wrote a note to the teacher, counted out some cash for the field trip, and pulled a text book out from hiding under the chair.

She signed a birthday card for a friend, addressed and stamped the envelope and wrote a quick note for the grocery store. She put both near her purse.

Mom then washed her face with 3 in 1 cleanser, put on her Night solution & age fighting moisturizer, brushed and flossed her teeth and filed her nails.

Dad called out, "I thought you were going to bed."

"I'm on my way," she said.

She put some water into the dog's dish and put the cat outside, then made sure the doors were locked and the patio light was on.

She looked in on each of the kids and turned out their bedside lamps and TV's, hung up a shirt, threw some dirty socks into the hamper, and had a brief conversation with the one up still doing homework.

In her own room, she set the alarm; laid out clothing for the next day, straightened up the shoe rack. She added three things to her 6 most important things to do list She said her prayers, and visualized the accomplishment of her goals.

About that time, Dad turned off the TV and announced to no one in particular. "I'm going to bed."

And he did...without another thought.

Anything extraordinary here? Wonder why women live longer...?

CAUSE WE ARE MADE FOR THE LONG HAUL..... (and we can't die sooner, we still have things to do!!!!)

Send this to five phenomenal women today...they'll love you for it!

Then: GO TO BED

Thursday Thirteen

Thirteen Things about Sherrypg.

1. I’m a tomboy. Have been. Always will be.
2. I lettered in basketball, softball, and track in high school. I won 4th in state my freshman year throwing the discus.
3. I grew up in the country.
4. I climbed a lot of trees.
5. I hate to have dirty hands. Almost borderline OCD.
6. When we built our house, I wired the family room for surround sound. Me. I did it. I actually ran the wires in the walls before the drywall was put up.
7. I can replace the light fixtures on your porch and then cook you a pie. I’m versatile that way.
8. The year after I graduated high school, I went with one of my best guy friends to his senior prom. I wore a white tux with tails, a purple tie, and purple cumber bun. His was black with purple.
9. I wore the tux shirt, tails, and tie with a dark pair of jeans and white tennis shoes to take my psychology final.
10. My final grade for the class? There were five or six classes in the whole section. I made the only A. The ONLY A. I think my female instructor “played for the other team”.
11. I have stopped giving out gift bags at birthday parties. Join me, won’t you?
12. I took glass blowing classes. I can’t blow glass to save my soul, but I can make awesome paperweights with that molten glass.
13. I don’t wear make-up. Yes, you read that right. I don’t wear make-up. I have worn it maybe 4-5 times my whole life. I don’t like it.

Finished! Finito! Fin!

(As always, click on a photo make it bigger.)

Ta-Dah!

I finished. But I must confess. I called in reinforcements. Some Hard Cider and my brother-from-another-mother. See the red on his elbow? I have that disease too. It is called "Too much time spent hunkered over the jigsaw puzzle while resting upper body weight on left elbow" disease. At one point, he had the imprint of a puzzle piece on it.

We got some nourishment (meatloaf, garlic mashed potatoes, green beens, rolls, strawberry shortcake) and then got started on the puzzle about 8pm or so. I think we finished sometime around 11ish.

This corner? If you look closely at the full photo, you will see that this corner was covered up with some advertising. The small pictures on the side of the box were almost useless. So this corner was pretty much a guess. The rabbit at the feet of the magician couldn't even be seen on the box. Tricky, tricky.

Good times.

Now what?

Somebody broke the dog!

His new pups.

Soapbox time!

Hang on. Let me pull my soapbox up close to the microphone. There. Can you hear me okay? In the back? Can you hear me? Good. Let's get started.

Mom turns her back for "3 seconds" and her child crawls up into a Claw game in Minnesota.

Mom says - She wants the pizza place to child-proof the door of the Claw.

I say - Just keep an eye on your damn kid. I'm just guessing here, but wouldn't it take longer than "3 seconds" (her words) for a child to sqirm his way up there? Oh, and by the way, you and your child are banned from Godfather's Pizza. 4-ever. How's that for child-proofing?

Cat in Connecticut attacts people (on more than one occasion). Judge says to keep cat indoors.

Owner says - "I wish they would use a little common sense and basically just stay away from him."

I say - WTF?! Lady, are you on crack? You're lucky someone didn't use a little common sense and basically just shoot the thing in the head. A broken spirit is the least of its worries. IT ATTACKED A HUMAN BEING. Keep it in your house and shut up.

People! Stop blaming others for crap that goes on. Accept responsibility and go on with your life. Contrary to what you believe, the world doesn't revolve around you.

Okay. I'm done for now. Argh. I gotta stop reading CNN.com.

I can quit anytime.

So, for whatever reason, I bought a 1,000 piece puzzle this weekend.

It has become an obsession.

I started on it Sunday night around 8:30. I poured the pieces out onto the table and started putting the edge pieces in one pile and the inner pieces in another. I managed to finish the edge (minus one piece that had managed to wonder off) and got myself to bed at a somewhat reasonable hour.

Monday night after bowling I worked on it a little more.

Tuesday morning I worked on it some while Bright Boy was waiting for me in the car. (Oh, right! School. Work. I'm coming.)

Tuesday night. More of the same. (I did do dishes while on a break.)

This morning? Must. Not. Work. On. Puzzle. Must. Go. To. Work.

Tonight? I'm torn. Top Chef comes on at 9:00. I can get supper finished, a couple loads of laundry, get the boy in bed, and maybe sqeeze in some puzzle before TC comes on. I'll probably end up working on it during TC. They'll rerun it anyway.

If I remember, I'll take some photos of it.

Sentences that have been said during puzzle working.

Me - Don't touch the puzzle!
Me - What are you doing?!
Me - Ack!
Me - Don't touch!

Bright Boy - Mom? Where am I supposed to eat?
Me - The coffee table.

Fun Fun

Use Blingo to search for your first name plus the word needs or wants. Sign up as my friend! Use the link on the right.

Sherry needs a lot of time to care for them. (No kidding.)
Sherry needs the help of your students by coloring all the "sh" blocks blue. (Or purple. I'm not picky.)
Sherry needs to have a control group. (Or a group to control...)
Sherry needs to be phased out. (Not likely.)
Sherry needs to inform David that she can never again receive gifts of this sort from him. (But I like gifts!)
Sherry needs to be consumed within a few days of opening. (Just like Hard Cider.)
Sherry needs money too. (Lots please!)
Sherry needs to back off! (Says who?!)
Sherry needs to learn how to sleep at 3AM. (And 11:30 and 1:15)
Sherry needs time. (Time, time, see what's become of me.)
Sherry needs to be patient. (Patience my Aunt Harriet!)

Sherry wants her customers to know that all bedding prototypes go through rigorous testing to ensure quality and comfort. (We use them as trampolines.)
Sherry wants her mother to know that the FBI has no warrants for her arrest. (Three arrests, no convictions!) (Kidding.)
Sherry wants to know what's up. ('Sup fool?)
Sherry wants to be accepted by men as who she is. (Reubenesque.)
Sherry wants to infuse the politics of her country with the issue of the quality of human capital as the key to the development of the nation. (Yeah...what she said...)
Sherry wants to use violence. (If you can't beat them...arrange for them to be beaten.)
Sherry wants a doggy. (Not so much.)
Sherry wants to go. (Far, far away.)
Sherry wants to be First Lady again. (The first time kicked @ss!)
Sherry wants to possess NJ to satisfy her own needs. (And as you can see in the above, I have many needs.)

It's time to make some music...

You Are Animal

A complete lunatic, you're operating on 100% animal instincts.
You thrive on uncontrolled energy, and you're downright scary.
But you sure can beat a good drum.

As good of an explanation as any

All the crap we have in our house? I have finally come to the conclusion that we built our house on top of a dump and it is seeping up through the floor.

The Maids come today. I needed to sweep some shoe schmutz up last night and then stopped and said to myself, "Nah, the Maids come tomorrow. heheheheheh"

Someone asked if they would be there all day and I said, "With my house? Pretty much. The baseboards alone will take all morning."

Maybe they can put a sealer down so the dump quits seeping.

I had a get-together Saturday night. Some friends came over for Taco Soup and we watched some basketball. A couple of them stayed after and we played dominoes until 1:30am. Before they got there, I was running around trying to clean up a little and said to my mom, "If I had company more often, I wouldn't need the Maids!"

Mom did dishes for me this weekend. She's cool that way.

Miss Directed

I have a lot of lost students who stop by my office looking for one building or the other. Just now? I had the best one EVAH!

Miss Directed - Excuse me?
Me - Yes?
MD - Can you tell me where I go to change my major?
Me - Uhhhh. Are you in Ag?
MD - No, I'm in HES.
Me - HES is in the building next door.
MD - I need to change it to Education. Is this "Building Name"?
Me - No, come with me. I'll show you which one.
We walk down hall toward the front door.
Me - The buildings aren't marked very well.
MD - They told me it was the pretty building. This one is pretty.
Me - (Pointing to "Pretty Building") It's *that* pretty building.
MD - Thanks!

Yikes. I hope she's shooting for Early Childhood Education and not High School Algebra.

The Pythagorean theorem is such a pretty theorem.

Thursday Thirteen

Thirteen Things Sherrypg may hear during any normal work day.

1. Grass Tetany
2. Karnal Bunt
3. Dry Bean Breeder
4. Obstetrical Chains
5. Poultry Litter
6. Footrot
7. Aflatoxin
8. Hollow Stem
9. Coccidosis
10. Anaplasmosis
11. Brucellosis
12. Mastitis
13. Bovine Spongioform Encephalopathy

Just think. Eight years ago I had never heard of any of these things much less could pronounce most of them. I still giggle when I say karnal bunt. 'Cause I'm twelve.

G.I. Miss You

Commander,

Happy Alva Day!

16 years. Dang. And this is the first one we have spent apart.

I’ll tell you the real secret of how to stay married. Keep the cave clean. They want the cave clean and spotless. Air-conditioned if possible. Sharpen his spear and stick it in his hand when he goes out in the morning to spear that bear; and when the bear chases him, console him when he comes home at night and tell him what a big man he is. Then hide his spear so he doesn’t fall over it and stab himself. – Jerome Joseph Chodorov Fields

To keep your marriage brimming,
With love in the loving cup,
Whenever you’re wrong, admit it;
Whenever you’re right, shut up.
- Ogden Nash

Remember, as far as anyone knows we’re a nice, normal family. – The Simpsons

I heart you,
Mrs. Commander

Tuesday, February 28, 2006

Let me rephrase that...

It is nice being Mrs. Commander. It isn't nice being in the circumstances brought about by being married to LTC Commander.

Capisce?

Now for some News to Make You Gasp!

The oldest boy now does dishes when he is over. I was being a kind-hearted soul and unloading the dishwasher for him when, much to my dismay, I unloaded this...

I know. Can you believe it? One of my Henckels knives was so carelessly thrown into the silverware tray of the dishwasher like some common utensil. Tsk, tsk, child. This and its brothers and sisters

must be delicately hand washed with lavendar washing soap and dried with a soft, lint-free towel.

Duh.

As A Matter of Fact, It's Not That Nice

As many of you know, the Army has taken my husband away for a while. And while he is getting paid more at this job than he does at his civilian job, we aren't really seeing much of it. We are having to support two households - utilities, food, gas, etc. - and we are paying off some bills we have. And frankly, it is hard being apart from each other. It is *very* hard on me. I am pretty much a single parent right now. I don't have an adult to hold meaningful conversations with in the evening. I have to do *all* of the household chores myself. I am in charge of getting six acres of lawn mowed. Ordering firewood. Hauling trash. There isn't anyone at home to call if I have car trouble. There isn't anyone to watch the boy if I have something come up in the evening or if I have to go into work early or stay late.

So when I mention that I am going to get Merry Maids to come and give me an estimate on cleaning the house and you pop off with, "Must be nice to be Mrs. Commander." Guess what? No. It isn't that nice.

How Boring Am I?

HASH(0x8ca155c)

You are friendly, energetic, cheerful, and bubbly.

talkative, you rarely meet a stranger. Others

feel at ease around you because of your

playful nature.

to show fascination with another. They also

symbolize friendship and whimsicalness.

Meme

Sheri started it!

Junque Drawer Jumble

1 - Instruction manual for a humidifier.
2 - Winnie the Pooh cell phone cover - NWT
3 - Customizer Scroll Kit (for pimping my ride)
4 - Pack of Sugar Baby Watermelon Seeds
5 - One of those little picture viewer keychain thingies from Six Flags. Remember those? They would take your picture and shrink it down to next to nothing and put it in a little viewer that you had to hold up to your eye and aim it toward a light so you could see. This thing is probably 13 years old! I sure was a lot thinner then.

If you have a junque drawer in your house, please go to it now. Open it and remove the first 5 items. Whatcha got?

Ammie?
Goob?
Nonnie?
Erin?
Warcrygirl?
Miss Zoot?
PoPo?
Ellen?

*I know I spelled junk "junque". Mine is a higher class of junk. Phfft.

I knew it was going to say that.

I had a dream once that me and some other female (I didn't know her) walked into a friend's kitchen. The friend was eating all different kinds of food. It was a very odd dream. I told the friend about it and laughed about how it probably meant she was pregnant and was going to have a girl. She got a weird look on her face, looked over at her husband, looked back at me and said, "I am pregnant. We haven't told anyone yet." And guess what? They had a girl. (Insert Twilight Zone music here.)

Blatently stolen from Maman

take the psi-q psychic test yourself

Telepathy/Empathy

The Psi Q test profiles a broad range of telepathic and empathic ability. Telepathy can be regarded as the ability to pick up thoughts, while empathy is the ability to pick up emotions through other than normal channels.

Clairvoyance/Remote Viewing

Clairvoyance is the ability to see things beyond the range of the power of vision. Often associated withother abilities, the clairvoyant is frequently capable of "remote viewing", the ability to see often distant locations in some detail in the mind's eye.

Psychokinesis

While psychokinesis or telekinesis is probably the rarest psychic ability in its purest form (the ability to move solid objects by applying intention alone), the Psi Q profile measures the degree to which you appear to be able to manifest your will in the physical world. You may find yourself lucky at games of chance for example, or find that things appear to be set up just the way you would want them to be.

Precognition

People with this ability, or precogs are traditionally called seers and have the ability to foresee the future. Some may find their abilities enhanced by tools such as tarot cards or crystal balls (scrying) but many simply find that knowledge of what is to come simply presents itself to them in often surprising ways!

Channeling

Channellers, or mediums, have the ability to communicate with, or act as conduits for the communication of, non-human intelligences or the spirits of the departed. The Psi Q profile takes a broad assessment of this communication and includes in its assessment forms of communication that may be non-verbal.

Happy Valentine's Day Honey!

Look at your new TV. Isn't it great? And look how happy the people are that you have such a loving wife who would buy you something this wonderful. Happy Happy!

Look at Paul Sr. He's jealous 'cause he didn't get a fancy-schmancy TV like you did. Can't Jr. do anything right? Jealous Jealous.

Look at the Weeping Buddha. He's sad. He's weeping for all of the other husbands out there who don't have wives who love them as much as I love you. Weep Weep.

Later

Him - What did you get.
Me - A 42' Plasma
Him - (noise)
Me - What are you doing?
Him - Picking myself up off the floor.
Me - But I bought it for you, Honey.

Maybe it will rain.

My child wore high water pants to school today.

A friend gave him some hand-me-over pants that no longer fit her son. He grabbed them out of the closet this morning and put them on. I told him they were too short.

"How can you tell?"

"I can see."

"But I like them! They're comfortable!"

"Fine."

So yes, yes indeed, he is waiting for a flood.

Stuff and Such

Here's photos of my "strep throat craft days".

The Pillow. It is so soft and comfy. Mom may not get it after all.

The scarves (not scarfs as previously reported).

And a quick note to the dog.
I know you are a dog and dogs bury bones and other foodstuffs. But it doesn't work that well with water.

Really, it doesn't.

P.S. Go Penguin Go!
